The verified phosphor-bronze family begins at module 0.5 and spans ratios 10\u201360. The verified polyacetal fine-pitch family is narrower at module 0.5\u20130.8, also spanning ratio families 10\u201360.<\/p>\n

Small worm gearing is sensitive to the relationship between the two members. Module or nominal size is only one coordinate. The mating definition also includes starts, hand, ratio, center distance, tooth system, material pairing and the way both components are located by bearings or hubs.<\/p>\n

How to select or specify it<\/h2>\n

Compare load, speed, operating temperature, duty cycle, lubricant, moisture, dimensional stability, noise target and required life. Polymer behavior can change with temperature and load, while bronze brings different mass and manufacturing considerations.<\/p>\n

For a useful technical review, add the operating conditions: input speed, expected output torque, duty cycle, reversing frequency, ambient temperature and lubrication method. These inputs help separate a geometry question from a material, wear or thermal question.<\/p>\n

What to verify before release<\/h2>\n
